I saw lud chnage on my 485 on 2/5/09. How long the finger prints are valid?
Is any one's LUD changed recently?
Would you mind updating your profile. The 4 or 5 posts above yours were about LUD's. I am not sure what else you asking for. ??
And, finger prints are usually valid for 15 months, and there is no definite trend as to who is asked for finger prints again and who is not.

I guess MOST of the people are concerned about the quality of photos than $ spent. My friend had RFE because the photos he got from CVS were not upto USCIS specifications. So any + experience is valuable to the forum.

We quoted our personal life experience and the hindrances we encounter in our career growth.
I have to say the points were observered with a positive note. and the staff said that these will be conveyed to the Senator.
He also suggested, to contact the media, which we are doing and also told,
he was also aware of immigration voice and its good doings.
He also told the Senator voted in favour of CIR 2006.
He suggested having a direct meeting with Senator would definetly help, as it would have a better impact, but he said that it would be easy to get an appointment of the Senator in DC. At this point, we have requested the immigration voice DC members whether they can have an meeting with the Senator and we can arrange the same with this staff member.
He also requested, if any of our member are meeting with the same Senator office staff in different location(Detroit, Grand Rapids,Escabana etc), please refer this staff name for continuity reasons.

See, what IV few members have written. I found them again in user control panel along with RED dots. I stopped caring about RED dots.
But, there are some comments that really hurts.

07/08/07 2:45 PM EST : FOX News interviewed the attorney who filed the first suit on the Visa date fiasco on behalf of a Polish woman in the Chicago area. The anchor started off the interview by making a reference to "hi tech workers" and that some of these folks were in the British terror plot !! "Why are you filing the lawsuit when your client can apply for the GC in Oct?" !!Anyway, the attorney was quite articulate in explaining the issue. Guess who followed the attorney ... Rep Tom Tancredo who called this a "minor inconvenience" before stating he wants all immigration to be halted!!

There is a very good chance that something will happen soon if we rush. if you are smart enough to think that filing on july 1st will guarantee your acceptance, then you are wrong buddy. As per the other threads and discussions from lawers , immigration officers, and info pass applicants that we have seen so far, uscis can change and will probably change the rules of accepting the application if the demand and rush continues. Already we are seeeing 45 days backlog of receipt.
besides lawyers just have to instruct fedex to pickup and deliver it on july 30th, how difficult can it be ?? except they should have little more room to pile up the applications until july 30th :)

He is considered among the future generation of leaders in america by the media. He is a front runner for vice president. He is the best political resource that could be used by IV. But he would not do anything as that would affect his image as a conservative republican. He doesnt understand the pain suffered by many who are not born here like him but are raised here (as white as he is), waiting for their GC as a dependent with the fear that if they turn 21 they will be deported seperating them from their families.
why single out one guy, he is doing what is good for him. What do you expect if the even people registered on this site are not willing to do do something to help themselves. The attidude is i have EAD/AP i am free or I am EB1/2 its just a matter of time till i get the GC. Even the politicians are using us for their own agenda and to score political points.

Hi Guys,
After a long journey of more than Sixteen years in this country, I finally received my GC.
In short, I came in 1993 on J-1 for my training which took six years, followed by one year on O-1 visa and then J-1 waiver for three and half years in underserved area. Then applied for labor certification in Oct, 2003 EB2, through university, which was approved and then retrogressed. Applied Schedule IIA, approved but also got retrogressed. Got AILA liaison and Senetor involved.
Applied for EB1 and NIW in July 2008.
My lawyer was very much involved in the whole process, was very helpful at every step, and wrote letters to USCIS.
Finally, GC came in April, 2009 and received the cards one week later. My PD Oct 2003.
During these time, I actually had no problmes at my job or my my wife's job. Brought a house four years ago.
The main problems were:
Daughter and son could not apply to state colleges/ medical colleges. (daughter going to med school next month)
Got stuck in India for renew of H-1 for 2 months!!! (worst time of my life, with my wife and kids in US) I tied every thing from writing letters to calling Ambasador. Not effective.
Could not go to certain occasions, like death of very close family members, weddings etc.
However, I kept my cool and prayed and got lot of support from Immigration voice.
As a small token of appreciation, I am donating $500 .(and will keep on supporting)
We all are going to get GC, some sooner some later. Just keep on doing you job.

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

Since the H-1 will be cancelled by the previous employer, the answer is No.

I believe Mbhai did a dis-service by negating good advice. What is the guarantee that the 2nd women that this guy marries will not ask for divorce? The best thing he can do is find a way to reconcile, unless there is marital infidility.
I believe "snathan" story was inspiring and addressed the true problem of that individual and every indivudual's life. Trust me, when you all get your GC's ...it will be these things that will matter to all of you, rather than anything else.

sometimes people give irrelevant advice. one guy asks im getting divorced, what shud i do with respect to 485? if people tell him, stop worrying bout 485, focus on ur life and fix ur marraige, then its not helping him from a "forum" perspective.

Since we already applied for I-485, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Her employment letter (submitted) only says that she is employed with the company and her employment is valid till 2008.
Isn't valid/unexpired I-94 counts as legal status not the approval notice. Also what if the employee takes a un-paid leave of absence due to health reasons etc.
I am sure so many in the same boat. Is there anything we could do?
She would still need to be on the Payroll and reported as an employee, preferable from the date of COS, If making a case of vacation or medical leave.

the reason I support the above initiative is because it is the most cost effective approach. immigration will/does help housing since americans already have houses and they have fewer or no kids. so immigrants constitute a sizeable chunk. a person I had met once told me - as long as you make money for yr bosses and managers they will do a lot for you (we were talking about filing for GC's) - with the same approach if you include builders and car dealers - you could get them to support IV. but my view is since our community is so divided and selfish ..nothing will ever happen because of us. whatever good happens will be because of USCIS mistakes or else we will get GC's after the long wait

Got my RFE finally. It is for an employment letter. They gave me until 3/19. (RFE was generated on 2/13)
